James Hetfield files for divorce from his wife Francesca

James Alan Hetfield is an American musician, who is the lead vocalist rhythm guitarist, co-founder and main son writer of heavy metal band Metallica. 

James Hetfield was born on 3 August, 1963 in Downey, California, United States. 

Hetfield attended Downey High School for his freshman and sophomore years and graduated from Brea Olinda High School in 1981.

Hetfield was nine years old when he first began piano lessons and at the age of 14, he began to play guitar with Robert Okner. 

Hetfield is manily known for his intricate rhythm playing, but occasionally performs lead guitar duties and solos, both live and in the studio. 

Hetfield enjoys a variety of activities, most notably hunting, farming and beekeeping, customizing cars and motorcycles in his garage and going to hot rod shows. 

James Hetfield married Francesca Tomasi met in 1992 and the couple married five years later  on 17 August, 1997. The couple have three children. 

Francesca Hetfield is an American costume designer. She was born on 27 January, 1970 in Rosario, a province in Argentina. 

Hetfield has long struggled with addiction problems. Hetfield has credited his wife with helping him get through difficult times, such as his anger management issues and addiction struggles. 

Hetfield has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Francesca in Colorado some time ago but has been successfully kept secret as no reports have been made about it until now. 

The couple is still said to be in touch and is co-parenting their children, who has embarked on their own career of being professional musician as the drummer of Bastardane. 

Hetfield added that Francesca kicked him out of the house and compelled him to go through therapy and sort out his issues.
