Marcell Ozuna arrested for Driving Under the Influence Charge

Marcell Ozuna Idelfonso, is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder for the Atlanta Braves of Major Leaque Baseball. His nicknamed is “The Big Bear”.  

Marcell was born on 12 November, 1990 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is a country located on the island of Hispaniola.  

Marcell Ozuna stoked his interest in baseball by playing as often as time permitted. He is the cousin of former MLB player Pablo Ozuna. 

On 15 February 2008, Marcell signed his first contract with American Florida Marlines, as a unqualified free agent. 

In 2009, Marcell started playing for the GCL Marlines. He was promoted in 2012 to the A-Advanced baseball team, Jupiter. 

On 30 April 2013, Ozuna made his major league debut, recorded his first career hit, a single off Jeremy Hefner of the New York Mets. 

During his entire career, Ozuna honored many Awards and rewards. 2x All-Star (2016, 2017), Gold Glove Award (2017), All-MLB First Team, Edgar Martinez Award (2020)  & many others.  

Ozuna married to Genesis Guzman and the couple has three children. 

On 29 May 2021, Ozuna was arrested and charged with him grabbing his wife by the neck and throwing her against a wall. But the charges were later withdrawn. 

On 19 August 2022 morning, Marcell was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence after Norcross Police noticed his inability to stay in lane by a Norcross Police Officer in metro Atlanta.
