Michelle Branch arrested for domestic assault charges

Michelle Jacquet DeSevren Branch  is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. She also known as Micheelle Carney. 

Michelle Branch was born on July 2, 1983 in Sedona, Arizona, United States. 

Michelle Branch beginning to sing at the age of three and enrolled in voice lessons at Northern Arizona University when she was eight.

Michelle teaching herself chords and composed her first song “Fallen” within a week of receiving her first guitar for her 14thbirthday. 

In December 1999, Branch posted two of her songs on the Rolling Stone website, which caught the attention of both pop rock band Hanson and former Rolling Stone writer & producer Jeff Rabhan. 

During the early 2000s, Branch released two top selling albums, The Spirit Romm and Hotel Paper. 

Branch won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals with Santana for their 2002 single, “The Game of Love”. 

Branch married Teddy Landau in Mexicon on May 23, 2004 and divorced in 2014. 

In 2015, Branch met Patrick Carney of the Black Keys at a Grammy party and both started dating during the production of Hopeless Romantic. 

In 2017, Branch moved to Carney’s home in Nashville The couple were married in 2019 and separated on August 11, 2022.

On Thursday at around 2 am police were called to their home for a possible domestic disturbance. 

According to court docs, Michelle admitted she had slapped Partrick Carney in the face “one to two times”. Michelle stated that she and her husband are having marital issues and have been arguing. 

Finally, Grammy winner Michelle Branch was arrested for domestic assault charged as singer allegedly slapped her estranged husband. Branch’s bail was set at $1000.
