Nick Kyrgios defeated Daniil Medvedev in the US Open 2022

Nicholas Hilmy Kyrgios is an Australian professional tennis player also known as Nick Kyrgios. He was born on 27 April 1995 in Canberra, Australia. 

Kyrgios attended Radford College until the age of 8 and completed his 12th standard in 2012 at Daramalan College in Canberra.

Kyrgios played his first junior match in 2008 at the age of 13 at a grade 4 tournament in Australia. He won his first ITF Junior Title in Fiji in June 2010. 

Nick Kyrgios won 07 ATP Tour singles titles, including the 2019 and 2022 Washington Open and a Masters 1000 final at the 2017 Cincinnati Masters. 

Kyrgios first began relationship with Ajla Tomljanovic. He was in a relationship with Chiara Passari (2020-2021). In May 2022, he announced his engagement to blogger Costeen Hatzipourganis

Daniil Medvedev the defending champion, was eliminated from the US Open 2022.  After falling to Nick Kyrgios in the fourth round, 6-7 6-3 3-6 2-6. 

Despite winning his maiden grand slam title in New York last year, Kyrgios defeated Medvedev on Sunday. 

Nick Kyrgios recently won the Citi Open in Washington and had his best stretch of results in his career, reaching the Wimbledon final in July. 

As a result, after the competition is over, Medvedev will no longer have the top spot in the global rankings.

Nick Kyrgios will compete in his first US Open 2022 quarterfinal against Karen Khachanov, a Russian who is competing under a neutral flag, on Tuesday.
