Roger Federer announces retirement from Swiss Tennis

Tennis legend Roger Federer announced his retirement from the sport Thursday after a professional career spanned for 24 year in a letter posted on Twitter.

Roger Federer has faced multiple injuries and surgeries and he says he knows his Body’s capacities and limits.

Roger Federer holds the record for the most consecutive weeks at No. 1 and the record for the oldest player to Rank No 1, at 36 in 2018.

This is bittersweet decision, because Roger Federer will miss everything the tour has given.

Roger Federer thanked his wife Mirka, his parents, sister and his business team in the emotional letter.

Roger Federer boasts over $130 million in career earnings.

Roger Federer said that Laver Cup in London next week will be his final ATP event. But he did not state his plans following retirement.
