Donovan Mitchell  acquired by Cleveland Cavaliers from Utah Jazz

Donovan Mitchell is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association. 

Donovan Mitchell was born on 7 September 1996 in Elmsford, New York, United States. 

At seven years old, Donovan Mitchell looked up to star pitcher of the Mets' minor-league system Scott Kazmir and David Wright.   

Donovan Mitchell played Amateure Athletic Union (AAU) basketball for both The City and the Riverside Hawks programs out of New York City.

Donovan Mitchell attended Canterbury School in New Milford for his first two years of high school and graduated from Greenwich Country Day School. 

Donovan Mitchell played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals. On 5 July 2017, he signed a 4 years rookie scale contract with the Utah Jazz.

On 24 October 2018, Donovan Mitchell scored a season-high 38 points in a 100–89 win over the Houston Rockets.

On 25 January 2019, Donovan Mitchell recorded his first and only double-double of the season, with 24 points and 11 assists, in a 106–102 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolve.

On 30 January 2020, Donovan Mitchell was named an All-Star for the first time in his career and selected as a WCR for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game. 

On 3 February 2022, Donovan Mitchell was named a reserve for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game. He is a three-time NBA All-Star.

Donovan Mitchell acquired by Cleveland against 3 first-round picks and two pick swaps from the Cavaliers.
