Russell Wilson signs five year extension with Denver Broncos

Russell Carrington Wilson  is an American football quarterback for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.

Russell Wilson was born on 29 November 1988  in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia. 

Russell Wilson attended Collegiate School, a preparatory school in Richmond, Virginia. During his time in high school, Russell Wilson attended the Manning Passing Academy. 

Russell Wilson began playing football with his father and brother at the age of 4, and played his first organized game for the Tuckahoe Tomahawks youth football team in sixth grade.

Russell Wilson was also a member of the Collegiate School basketball and baseball teams. 

Russell Wilson played college football and baseball at NC State from 2008 to 2010 before transferring to Wisconsin in 2011. 

Russell Wilson was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round (75th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Russell Wilson first married Ashton Meem (2012-2014). He started dating with  American R&B singer Ciara in early 2015 and married on 6 July 2016 at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. 

In April 2019, Russell Wilson signed a four-year, $140 million contract extension with the Seahawks, making him the highest paid player in the NFL at the time.

During his entire life Russell Wilson achieved a number of Awards and honors like, Super Bowl XLVIII Champion, PFWA Good Guy Award (2014), Walter Payton Man of the Year (2020), Bart Starr Award (2022) & many others. 

As per various news reports, Russell Wilson and the Broncos have signs and agreed to a five year contract extension with $245 million, as a result he become the 2nd highest paid player per year in NFL.
