How to prepare for KVS PGT Computer Science exam ?

As per notification of KVS, Scheme and Syllabus of Examination for the post of PGT Computer Science, there will be four parts in the examination; those are already explained above in Syllabus and Exam pattern Section.

However, in my point of view, there will be only two parts for written examination, Part-I Common Topics for all post of PGT and Part-II Subject specific.

Part-I  : Common Topics for all post of PGTs (General English, General Hindi, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Reasoning, Computer Literacy, Perspectives on Education and Leadership). In this part consists of total 80 questions for 80 marks. Each correct response carries 1 mark.

Now, the main point is that how to prepare for Part-I (i.e. Common Topics) ?

  • To success or crack any examination, first you have to aware about detailed syllabus of exam, then make your own daily routine / strategy and read all topics meticulously accordingly to strategy.
  • Collect atleast last 05 years question papers; if possible collect 10 years question papers. Practice to solve all question papers daily, benefit of practising through previous year question paper is that – First you will get clear idea about what questions comes in previous year and Second it will also help you to minimise your reading. Here minimise means ‘What To Read and very important is What Not To Read’.

Part-II : Subject specific i.e. Computer Science. In my point of view, this is the main Part of written examination, for which you have to prepare seriously.
