Robert Kelly (R. Kelly) was born on 8 January, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

In September 1980, R. Kelly entered Kenwood Academy, where he met music teacher Lena McLin, who encouraged Kelly to perform the Stevie Wonder classic in the high school talent show.

In 1996, Kelly married Andrea Keely, his former backup dancer and they divorced after 13 years of marriage in 2009.

Kelly has been awarded and nominated for multiple awards during his career, as a songwriter, producer and singer.

Kelly was granted three Grammy Awards for his song “I Believe I Can Fly”. Best Male R&B Vocal performance, Best Rhythm and Blues Song, and Best Song Written.

For the first time on Thursday, “Jane” admitted publicly that she was the girl on videotape having sex with Kelly, in a recording that was at the 2008, at which Kelly was acquitted.
