Michael Mignano podcasting guru joined to Lightspeed Venture Partners

Michael Mignano is an American entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of the Podcasting Platform Anchor.  

Michael Mignano studied Computer Science at the University of Delaware. 

Michael Mignano started his career in the music industry at Atlantic Records. Atlantic is an American record label founded in October 1947.  

Michael Mignano earlier also worked with Aviary and then Adobe. In 2016, he started Anchor to make it easier for aspiring creators to broadcast audio. 

In early 2019, Anchor was acquired by Spotify talk audio business and Mignano became responsible for overseeing the Swedish audio streaming company podcast tech business. 

Anchor has acquired by Spotify for more than $150 million. 

Michael Mignano has joined the consumer practice of the sprawling venture firm Lightspeed Venture Partners.  

Lightspeed Venture Partners is a global venture capital firm focusing on multi stage investments in the enterprise, consumer, and health sectors. 

Mignano says in a new Medium post that he first met Lightspeed when he was out fundraising for his then-nascent startup.

Mignano is based in New York, where Lightspeed recently opened an office that will be staffed by investors James Ephrati and Adrian Radu.
